The entire thing sounds fantastic, right? WELL, my good friend Jennifer Griffith is one of the authors that contributed to the anthology, so I just HAD to feature her part! School Spirit is AMAZING! And I'm not saying that just because I'm a little biased. ;)
Here is the mini blurb:
Basketball star Luke stomped all over cheerleader Hailey’s
heart, but she still has to cheer for him. When a mysterious hot guy in a loin
cloth appears on the basketball court and protects Luke from getting fouled,
and nobody else notices or cares, Hailey takes matters into her own hands—and
finds she might be having a supernatural encounter with a "school
spirit."
Isn't that AWESOME!?!?! I have no clue where she comes up with this stuff! A little about the fabulous lady I call friend.
Jennifer Griffith's Author Bio:
Jennifer Griffith is a wife and a
mother of five, and although she’s never seen a ghost, she believes in them and
would love to meet one and ask a lot of questions. She’s the author of seven
novels, all romantic comedies.

I asked Jennifer who she would select to play the lead rolls if School Spirit was ever made into a movie {You know I love to do these,
but it's extra fun to ask Jen since her book Big in Japan
is ACTUALLY being made into a movie RIGHT NOW!!!!!!}
and this is what she told me:
"The people I pictured were Cindy Anaya and her husband, to be honest.
He's a basketball player, and he looks kind of Mayan, to be honest. Maybe get Cindy's permission to post her profile pic of her and Joe? Okay, no. Just kidding. Don't do that. I'll keep thinking. Why is this so hard?"
SURPRISE!!! I went and got Cindy's permission. I couldn't help it! She is also a friend of mine, and a fellow writer (she contributed to the Strange and Lovely Anthology, as well as has published The Healer, and The Black Blossom)
Now you know Jennifer's inspiration behind her characters! What do you think? As a bonus, if Cindy was actually cast in the movie, it could be made into a musical because she sings like an angel!!!
And here is a snippet from School Spirit so you can read the words and look at the faces Jen was picturing as she wrote! (It's kind of magical, don't you think?)
SNIPPET
The flip had made
her head a bit dizzy, and it took Hailey a second to get her bearings back. The
other cheerleaders dashed to their side of the court so the pep band could come
down, but Hailey’s feet were glued to the foul line. There, on the endline
under the basket, not ten feet away, stood loin cloth guy. And he was looking
into her eyes. And smiling—like he knew a secret.
“Hey!” Hailey took
a few steps toward him. “Don’t look at me like that. It’s … wolfish.” She
expected him to back away. Or even disappear again. But he didn’t. He kept
standing there. Now he was rubbing his chin and nodding, like he’d just seen
his first Corvette. Guys always went gaggy over Corvettes. “It’s not
gentlemanly.”
Suddenly, the guy
snapped to, and he did in fact start backing away. Hailey marched toward him.
