Through the thick branches of trees, a lone light glowed
from the second story of Victoria House. Was that her room? Was she still
awake? Would she die with the horrible realization that he was the man who had
executed a swift punishment for the crimes of her past? She was no saint, but
then he was no sinner. He was a dark angel of retribution.
The woman who had become mistress of Victoria House was the
last of the men and women who had stolen his future. He’d made everyone who

Chase
is a handyman, construction worker. Long hair, but not too long. Keeps
it in a short ponytail when he works. His has a rugged face and a strong
jaw. He's an ex-cop, ex-con with plenty of baggage in his past. His
rough around the edges persona is quickly softened by Laurel
Mitchell (Gray) Grayson

Lieutenant
with the Hill Count Sheriff's Department. Hollywood handsome with a
symmetrical face. Piercing blue eyes. Gray is a man whose compassion and

Tori
is a crime scene specialist and a forensics geek. Her long auburn hair
and hazel, almost greens eyes capture Grayson's attention. She is
strong-minded and very opinionated. She goes toe-to-toe with Gray, but
finds she'd rather not fight with him.
