Cover Reveal: Nacoma Knight by Ashley Nixon

I haven't been shy about how much
I LOVE Ashley Nixon's writing!
From Cutlass to Flintlock and now something brand new!
I can't wait!!!

Ashley was born and raised in Oklahoma, where the wind really does sweep down the plains, and horses and carriages aren't used as much as she'd like. She has a Bachelor's in English Writing and a Master's in Library Science and Information Studies. When Ashley isn't writing, she's traveling, working out, or pretending she's Sherlock Holmes. Her obsession with writing began after reading the Lord of the Rings in the eighth grade. Since then, she's loved everything Fantasy--resulting in an unhealthy obsession with the 'geek' tab on Pinterest, where all things awesome go.

Anora Silby wants her mother alive again. She’d do anything to feel her touch, hear her voice, and understand the strange circumstances surrounding her death. So when the new kid, Thane Treadway, offers outlandish answers, Anora listens.

Thane believes Anora’s mother had her soul stolen by the Cercatore di Anime, a race of soul eaters. It isn’t until Thane starts forgetting things and having random outbursts of anger that Anora begins to wonder if Thane has personal experience with the Cercatore.

Anora’s search for answers leads her into the center of a mid-world battle between good and evil—the soul and the soulless. Not only that, she is the Eurydice, the only one of her kind who can enter and exit spirit. Her gift makes her a target, and soon Anora finds herself faced with the loss of her mother or the love of her life.

Can Anora see past her grief long enough to make a decision or will she lose everything?

And the moment you have been waiting for!

Don't you just love it!

12 Days of Great Summer Reads: Book Blitz: Seven Year Rule by Alaina Stanford

Let's keep this summertime fun rolling.

Rules just don't apply to some people... Whitney and Mason's life was perfect. When Beth explained her Seven Year Theory. They scoffed at the idea of the seventh year of marriage being the make it or break it year for most couples. That theory didn't apply to them. They were the perfect couple. Their brand new house overlooked a spacious lake. Their brand new cars were state of the art. Their careers were taking off at an accelerated rate. Their sex life was incredible. Their lives were perfect. When Whitney's widower brother-in-law dies, leaving three small children in their care, their perfect lives are torn apart. Raising children was never part of the plan. Raising children requires sacrifice. Sacrifice they never intended to make. Sacrifice that could bring chaos to their perfect way of life. Sacrifice that could bring an end to their perfect marriage. Sacrifice, that if not done correctly could bring an end to a child's life. Mason considered himself incredibly lucky to have a wife like Whitney. She was beautiful, sexy, smart, had a professional attitude toward life and she wasn't interested in starting a family. When Whitney's widower brother-in-law was killed leaving his three small children in Whitney and Mason's charge, Mason is exposed to a new side of Whitney. A side he was not prepared for, a side he never thought he'd see.  Suddenly Mason's world was filled with diapers and stains. His perfectly coiffed wife quickly transformed into an unkempt mother of three living in jeans and carrying a diaperbag as a purse. Mason's needs were no longer being filled. His house was a noisy mess. There was a 6 year old boy looking to him for fatherly attention. But fatherhood requires a man to live for his children and not himself. Mason was not prepared to do that, but how could he walk away from Whitney in her hour of need?

Author Bio
I have one of those brains that won't turn off at night. Many nights I would distract my intellect by revamping a movie, book or TV show in my mind. I would twist and turn the plots and characters to achieve the ending I preferred. That developed into side stories about my favorite minor characters. Each night I fell asleep in the middle of a grand adventure. It wasn't long before I began to create stories of my own and put pen to paper.

I love a good adventure. I love a good romance. As the mother of seven children, I also learned to love to play video games. One day it occurred to me to write an adventure that flowed like a video game and I added a touch of romance. Thus, Hypnotic Journey was born. The HJ characters are like a family to me. They are foolish, daring, resourceful, passionate and dedicated to their friends.
My love for Science Fiction gave birth to the Treborel Series. It’s a paranormal Sci-Fi romance featuring a psychotic villain and a multiple layer
of hero's fighting to survive the chaos.
I write about how friendship and love can carry you through situations that you might not otherwise survive. You will find my stories exciting and steamy, but I am not an erotic writer. My stories fade to dark when the steam begins to rise, but take it from me, the steam does rise and emotions do soar.

Snippet

Randy tossed the football lightly to Jake and said, “Good game, Jake. We are still the reigning champions.”
Jake grinned and looked at Zack, “We didn’t beat you and Mason by much. Next time it’s going to be a real face-off. Go long!”
Zack beamed with pride and turned to run toward the far end of the deck. Jake threw the ball high in the air. Amy rose to her feet as Zack neared the rail, her eyes wide in horror. He wasn’t slowing his pace.
“Zack! Stop!” Amy yelled.
Seeing the fear in Amy’s face, Mason spun and rushed toward Zack. Zack fell backward, hard onto the rail. It collapsed from his weight. Mason grabbed on to Zack as he fell. He pulled the boy to him, surrounding him with his body. They both flew into the open air and down toward the cement around the pool.
“Amy! Call 911!” Randy ordered, racing to follow Josh down the steps.
Amy grabbed Blake and handed him to Molly saying, “Take him inside and get Whitney and your mom! Jake, take Ashley! Stay here!”
Mason landed on his back by the edge of the pool, with a sickening thud. He and Zack rolled into the deep end of the pool. Josh and Randy dove in after them. Josh grabbed Zack, who was struggling to reach the surface. Josh pulled Zack to him. He placed Zack on the cement, at the edge of the pool. Then turned and dove toward Randy, who was surfacing with an unconscious Mason.

12 Days of Great Summer Reads: Book Blitz: Connor by Irish Winters

"How many times can a man say he’s sorry? Connor Maher is about to find out. As if dogging the brutal Sonoran Cartel through sun-baked Utah isn't tough enough, he's come face to face with his worst nightmare. Diminutive ex-Marine spitfire Isabella Ramos has just three words to say to him: I. Hate. You. Like he hasn’t heard that before.   Why was he the one who got to live? Izza only accepted the Utah operation because he’d be there. It’s time Connor knew the truth, but how can she trust him with her life much less the secret she’s come to share? He's nothing but grief personified in the guise of an blue-eyed, honorable man. Not until the cold-blooded SC dumps her and Connor in the farthest corner of the relentless Utah desert does she begin to realize…. There are worse things than death… "

Irish Winters is an award-winning author who dabbles in poetry, grandchildren, and rarely (as in extremely rarely) the kitchen. More prone to be outdoors than in, she grew up the quintessential tomboy on a farm in rural Wisconsin, spent her teenage years in the Pacific Northwest, but calls the Wasatch Mountains of Northern Utah home. For now.
The wife of one handsome husband and mother of three perfect sons, Irish divides her time between writing at home, and travelling the country with her man while – writing. (Seriously, what else?)
She believes in making every day count for something, and follows the wise admonition of her mother to, “Look out the window and see something!”

Snippet
Even though Izza Ramos should hate this child, she didn’t. It was the ultimate gift from her time in hell come back to save her when she needed it most. For once in all of her twenty-two worthless years on earth, Izza deserved a break and a blessing. Despite its father, this baby was it.
